At present, various types of metal pre-alloyed powders are applied to almost all aspects of the production of super-hard materials tools. Pre-alloyed iron powders involve stone, ceramics, concrete, glass processing and other fields.
1 Stone processing tools
Involving the cutting, grinding and drilling of stone materials, among which the application of stone cutting saw blades is the largest.
Binary alloys can be widely used as a basic alloy for various tools. The most widely used Fe-Cu alloys in granite saw blades include pre-alloy powders prepared by water atomization, chemical substitution and electrodeposition. This type of powder is suitable for the production of low-end products. The marble saw blade is mainly Cu-Sn series alloy powder.
Pre-alloyed ternary powders are mainly water-atomized series of pre-alloyed powders such as Fe-Cu (Ni / Co) -Sn, Fe-Co-Ni, Fe-Co-Cu, etc., supplemented by chemically prepared Fe -Co-Ni, Fe-Co-Cu series alloy powder, this kind of powder is suitable for preparing high-end products. Among them, nickel-containing powder mainly focuses on service life while taking into account sharpness, while cobalt-containing powder can take into account sharpness at the same time. And service life. The marble saw blade is mainly composed of Cu-Co-Sn series alloy powder.
The quaternary and above pre-alloyed powders are basically atomized pre-alloyed powders, mainly Fe-Cu-Ni-Sn, Fe-Cu-Co-S series pre-alloyed powders, which are suitable for preparing medium-to-high-end products. .
The common application characteristics of the above types of pre-alloyed powders are: it can reduce the sintering temperature, improve the uniformity of the carcass structure, increase the sintering strength and compactness, increase the mechanical holding force of the carcass structure on diamond, and improve the sharpness and use of the tool. life.
2 Ceramic processing tools
The pre-alloy powders for ceramic saw blades are mainly Fe-Cu-Ni-Sn, Fe-Cu-Co-Sn, Fe-Cu-Co and Cu-Sn series. This type of pre-alloyed powder is characterized by low sintering temperature, fine sintered structure, moderate carcass hardness, medium bending strength, and weak carcass wear.
The hardness of the carcass of the ceramic scraper is high, generally ≥HRB95. Rough knives require good sharpness and long service life. The base alloy Fe-Cu series is widely used, which is characterized by good densification of the sintered structure, high hardness and long service life. Fine-knives often use Fe-Cu-Ni-Sn series alloy powder when taking into account both sharpness and service life, which are characterized by low sintering temperature, high hardness, high degree of densification, and good wear resistance. At the same time, the wearability of the carcass and diamond is good, and the diamond can maintain a suitable cutting edge height during the working process.
Pre-alloy systems suitable for edging wheels are mainly Fe-Cu-Ni-Sn series alloys. The characteristics of this type of alloy are low sintering temperature, high hardness of the sintered carcass, good mechanical holding force of the carcass on diamond, good wearability of the carcass and diamond, and the diamond can maintain an appropriate cutting height during the grinding process. Can take into account both sharpness and service life. In the product preparation process, special attention should be paid to the oxygen content of other elemental powders used in conjunction with the pre-alloy. Generally, the oxygen content is required to be less than 4000 × 10-6.
At present, the pre-alloy powders suitable for ceramic grinding blocks are mainly composed of Fe-Cu and Fe-Cu-Ni-Sn alloy systems, and are matched with appropriate low-temperature brittle materials and pore-forming agents and other adjusting components. The sintered hardness of the pre-alloy system itself is> HRB100, but the hardness of the sintered abrasive block is usually between HRB85 and 95. The hardness is too low, and the service life of the grinding block is short; the hardness is too high, the sharpness is poor, and it is prone to wear and slip. Normally, coarse-grained grinding blocks are required to maintain good sharpness at high processing line speeds, and the grinding volume should be higher than 50,000 square meters, while fine-grained grinding blocks are required to exceed 10 10,000 square meters, the use of pre-alloyed powder can meet the requirements in terms of sharpness and service life.
3 Engineering drill
At present, the pre-alloy powders suitable for the production of engineering thin-walled drills include Fe-Cu, Fe-Cu-Ni-Sn, Fe-Cu-Co-Sn, Fe-Co-Cu and other alloy series, equipped with an appropriate amount of WC or W Powder, suitable for wet and low-end drill bits, can also be used for dry drilling of brick walls, its sharpness and service life can meet the needs. These alloys are characterized by low cost of the carcass, high degree of sintering and densification, high hardness (> HRB100), good mechanical strength (flexural strength 850 ~ 1100MPa), and it is not easy to break teeth during drilling. However, for drill bits used for high-strength reinforced concrete components, the sintered carcass requires extremely high Co content, extremely high surface quality and granularity of metal powder, and high mechanical strength of the carcass (> 1100MPa). Diamond has good holding power, and it must also have excellent heat dissipation performance. Especially in dry drilling, the requirements for sintered carcass metal powder are higher. At the same time, fine-grained wear-resistant framework material is also required to ensure wear Sex, but also have good self-sharpness.
4 Concrete saw blade
There are many types of pre-alloys suitable for preparing concrete saw blades. There are various pre-alloy powder series such as Fe-Cu, Fe-Co (Ni) -Cu, Fe-Ni (Co) -Cu-Sn prepared by various methods. , Where Fe content usually exceeds 50%. The outstanding feature of this type of pre-alloyed powder is that it requires high sintering strength, hardness and compactness.
5 Geological drill bit
The sintered geological drills have scattered manufacturers and poor industrial concentration, and the amount of metal binders consumed is not large. They have not attracted enough attention from various alloy powder manufacturers and have not developed special pre-alloyed powders in this field. However, the pre-alloyed powder mentioned above can also be applied in this field, but currently there is still a lack of application development, which has affected the promotion and application of pre-alloyed powder in this field.
6 Glass processing tools
Due to the relatively small consumption of metal binders of such tools, currently, elementary metal powders are mainly used, and various alloy powder manufacturers have basically not developed in this application field. Most customers follow the traditional formula system, and the market uses The alloy powder has only a part of Cu-Sn alloy.
7 Metal Bonding Wheel
Due to the low proportion of metal-bonded grinding wheels in the entire grinding wheel industry, the amount of metal powder consumed is not large. Pre-alloyed powders have very few applications in this field, only some Cu-Sn alloys, and the market lacks specialization Pre-alloyed powder products.
